Fenella studied law at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg and did her articles at James, Becker & Power in Pietermaritzburg where she found her passion for Property Law. After being admitted as an Attorney in 1985 and as a Conveyancer in 1986, she moved to Durban and joined Sanan & Watts where she specialised in Property Law.

She enjoyed many years practising at the firm Pampallis and Randles before joining Deneys Reitz in 2003. In 2006 she started her own firm and continued to practise for her own account until joining Tomlinson Mnguni James this year. She has enjoyed her career in Property Law which has so far stretched over 35 years.

She has 5 sons and 4 grandchildren. She loves entertaining and has a big circle of friends and a husband who cooks like a dream. She cannot be without a book, and she enjoys playing tennis and bridge in her spare time.
