Chamonie obtained her B.Proc degree from the University of the Free State in 2000, and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2005, after completing her articles at the Legal Aid Board in Soweto.

She joined an attorney firm in 2006 where she practiced as a general practitioner until she joined a corporate fiduciary company in 2011.  It is there where Chamonie found her passion for Trust Law, the administration of Trusts and Trust compliance.

Chamonie joined Tomlinson Mnguni James Attorneys as a Senior Associate in the firm’s Sandton office during 2015 and was appointed a Director of the firm in 2018, where she still specialises in all aspects of Trusts and Trust Law, but now also in Estate Planning, Deceased Estates, Wills, Curator and Administrator Applications and FICA and POPIA Compliance.
